Title:
Unwritable dataroot causes segfaults, try to fail more gracefully
Status in Mahara ePortfolio:
Fix Released
Bug description:
We should add a check to catch if the dataroot is unwritable, and
throw an exception.
Currently this causes a segfault and a white screen.
