[Bug 1263515] Re: Let user set default profile layout, and "basic" layouts
Hi Melissa,
Why does updating TinyMCE make the issue of setting a default layout for
a page irrelevant?
Cheers
Kristina

Title:
Let user set default profile layout, and "basic" layouts
Status in Mahara ePortfolio:
Confirmed
Bug description:
The user should be able to select which layout they want to be the
default layout when a new portfolio page is created. The user should
be able to select from either predefined layouts or custom layouts.
The user should be able to select the top 10 layouts they want
displayed in the "change my page layout" page options. The use should
be able to select from either predefined or custom layouts.
The program should be able to detect automatically which layouts the
user uses the most and the program should put them automatically in
the top 10 layouts.
I created a custom layout that is the default layout I use on 75% of
my pages. I have never once use any of the layouts that were
predefined. They just don't match the way I setup my pages.
The user should be able to create a layout with predefined blocks.
For example, I always put a profile block in my top row with the same
exact options selected on all of my pages. It would be nice to be
able to automatically have that block added when a create a new block.
Maybe allow a page to be saved as a "template page", and when a user
selects "create new page", they can select from a template page.
Similar to the way that Microsoft Word functions.
