I have translated some strings into Vietnamese for the trunk series using Launchpad.
I saw these translations have been automatically updated for 1.8 series on Launchpad as I expected.
I will check the Vietnamese tar ball on langpacks.mahara.org tomorrow to make sure if the script properly works or not.

  Mahara 1.8 German langpack not updating

Bug description:
  Ralf Hilgenstock contacted me on mahara.org to let me know that the
  Mahara 1.8 German langpack isn't updating, although interestingly the
  "master" langpack is updating correctly.

  Anyway, we've had problems before with the script not updating the
  langpacks, and it looks like we've got problems again.
