  Mahara 1.8.3
  OS: Linux
  Database: Postgres and MySql
  Browser: Firefox

  The current Elastic client version is 0.90.1.0.

  A newer version 1.1.1.1 is out.  http://elastica.io

  Mahara's client Elastica should be upgraded.

  But, as aarow pointed out, "it's compatibility-breaking, so it may
  require some adaptation to the Mahara code to make it work."
