[Bug 1507320] Re: I can't select language. I need spanish

 

To add the spanish language (or any language) to your Mahara you need to

1) Download the language pack from here: http://langpacks.mahara.org/

2) find out where your dataroot is by looking in your config.php file.
This is the line you need to check: $cfg->dataroot =

3) Got to that place in your filesystem and you will see a directory
called langpacks

4) Go into the 'langpacks' directory and save the spanish langpack
language file there

5) Uncompress/untar the file and you should see a new subdir made called
es.utf8

6) Make sure the new lang directory is owned by the right user and is
readable by owner/group/public

Now you should be able to select it in the site settings

  I put es.utf8 in lang path, but I can't select it in my site setting.
