Title:
  Get Elasticsearch to respect the site 'Proxy settings'

Status in Mahara:
  Fix Committed

Bug description:
  Currently in Administration -> Configure site -> Site settings ->
  Proxy settings we can indicate the proxy address to access the
  internet.

  However:
  1. Mahara doesn't support communication with elasticsearch server over HTTPS
  2. Elasticsearch plugin doesn't respect mahara's global HTTP proxy settings when communicating with elasticsearch server

  We will need to make some changes to the make_client() function so
  that we can pass it more variables
