A notification would be good so that they know why the person dropped
off their list and they can go for another try if they wanted to.

  Delete friend requests when people don't action them

Status in Mahara:

Bug description:
  When you request friendship of someone else, you see the friendship
  that you requested. However, when they don't bother accepting or
  denying them, they are sticking around cluttering the "My friends"
  page.

  It would be good if you could revoke friend requests that you've made
  one-by-one but also in bulk.
