This doesn't look broken to me. The attachment shows external media
blocks on current master. I also tried demo. But maybe I'm missing
something?

Bug description:
  Embedly seems to have changed its embed code to something like the
  following. This is an Embedly card:

The house..."</p></blockquote>

  Thus, new cards cannot be embedded anymore.

  I suspect at minimum we need to update the regex. But maybe there is
  more to do.
