[Bug 1834011] Re: Add group homepage to navigation menu

I would not add the group homepage as part of the navigation menu or
give a choice. The group is linked in the page header.

Externals will not have access to the group homepage and thus would only
receive a login page as they don't have access to the group homepage.

Title:
Add group homepage to navigation menu

Status in Mahara:
  Won't Fix

Bug description:
  Feature Enhancement Request

When adding a navigation menu to a collection of pages, there is no
option to include a link to the group homepage - so if you have a
navigation bar on that page for a collection, as soon as you click
onto one of the pages there is no intuitive way for users to return to
the group homepage (especially if the pages are shared externally so
users aren't given an induction on using Mahara).

It would be useful when adding a navigation menu to a group homepage
or collection if there was a tickbox option to include the group
homepage as te top link in the menu. There are times when you would
not want to include the group homepage but in general it would be
useful to be able to include it, as the workaround is to ignore the
built-in menu feature and create a series of hyperlinks with a
  textbox.

  Regards, Gordon.
