  Make Mahara theming more efficient by consolidating elements and using
  variables

Bug description:
  Evonne is reviewing our style elements and variables in the themes to
  make them more consistent, removing a lot of elements that are not
  needed anymore to overall make theming easier for designers and front-
  end developers.
