Title:
When a user has only external authentication the links in emails can
  be confusing

Status in Mahara:
  In Progress

Bug description:
When Mahara sends out an email to a user it often has a link to Mahara
  content for them to follow.

If they are not logged in but need to be to see the content it gives
them a login box to login with.

If the user is logged out and can only authentication via an external
source it can be confusing for them. Some external authentication
methods, like SAML, will show an SSO button on the login box to use,
but other authentication methods, LTI, will not show any special info
on login box so a user has no idea they need to login to their
external site first and then 'jump' across to Mahara.

It would be good to add to the base of email messages for these users
some information mentioning how they need to ignore the
username/password fields on the login box and actually login via the
external source first, eg for SAML to hit the SSO button, for LTI, to
login to their LTI parent site
