There is this line of code
 $data_to_send['newstats'] = 1;

But it doesn't seem to relate to anything.

It causes a line in the 'Data included' list to appear on the Admin ->
Overview -> Register page

Is this line needed or can it be removed.

Investigation is needed to see if the line can be removed and the
relating language string. There is also a db query using 'newstats' can
it be removed too (will this require a db upgrade to cleanup data in db
containing 'newstats'??)

Also the stats are sent to mahara.org - is there a script there relying
on that 'newstats' flag?
