[Bug 1951998] [NEW] Retain view access for everyone but members in a group
Public bug reported:
When you allow copying of a portfolio, you can instruct Mahara to retain
view access to the copy, which is a handy feature to not having to
instruct students to share their portfolio with the same person, but
automatically share the portfolio with them.
This works well for personal portfolios as the portfolio is then only
shared with one person. However, in groups this can be tricky because
then everyone in the groups gets access to the portfolio, which may not
be intended if the teacher only set up the group to share templates with
students and wants the students to then only share the portfolio with
them rather than the entire group.
It would be useful that if a group portfolio is shared the advanced option of 'Retain view access on copied pages or collections' is changed into a drop-down menu with the following options:
- None
- All group members
- Everyone except ordinary members [i.e. tutors and admins]
- Group administrators
This idea resulted from a conversation with Chris Kenniburg from
Dearborn Schools.
