[Bug 1956395] Re: Adding members to a group within an institution

 

Technically, this is correct behaviour as you can add anyone to your
group from a site, not just your own institution. Only if a site has
'isolated institutions' turned on, will you only see people from your
own institution.

In general, that screen should be redesigned to allow for better
searching. That would apply also to other screens like the 'Members',
'Staff', 'Administrators' in the institution settings as the current way
makes it hard to differentiate between institutions and see all
necessary information. That would be a different request though.

Bug description:
  Tested using myportfolio.school.nz

  Steps to reproduce:
  - Masquerade as Institution Staff
  - Create a group associated with institution
  - Go to group page and click Members > Add many people at once

  Expected outcome
   - Only members of the current institution can be added to the group

  Actual outcome
   - All members of site are listed as being able to be added to the group (14,457 members)
