The MariaDB 5.3.8 release is almost ready. The files have been uploaded
and should be mirrored soon. I expect to send out the release
announcement at around 10am U.S. Eastern time tomorrow (28 Aug 2012).

As usual, I've created preliminary Release Notes and Changelog pages:

Please let me know ASAP if there are any particularly noteworthy items
in this release which I should mention in the Release Notes.
