I'm using DDD for this, DDD (Data Display Debuger) is a GUI
wrapper
around GDB
DDD - http://www.gnu.org/software/ddd/
other options i know of but haven't tried myself would be
"Insight"
Insight - http://sourceware.org/insight/
or using an IDE like Eclipse or KDevelop ...
