Re: intentionally corrupting tables

I am looking for a way to intentionally corrupt a table in a "natural" way. Of course I can open a file with Vim and change random characters, but I would probably obtain a kind of corruption that never occurs in the real world.
The purpose is testing recovery procedures
* virtual machine
* snaphot
* make a lot of writes and changes
* trigger crash of the machine with 2 commands
echo 1 > /proc/sys/kernel/sysrq
echo c > /proc/sysrq-trigger
