The upgrade process itself (which fromdual.com describes) is known.

The point is that the KB articles under the "Upgrading Galera Cluster" 
category sometimes contain Galera-specific steps/notices that are not 
documented anywhere else. My educated guess is that the abscence of 
articles for these versions means that there are none, but as you said, 
these articles should exist nonetheless.

As far as I can see, changes to 'wsrep_*' options are documented in the 
regular "Upgrading from MariaDB 10.x to MariaDB 10.x" articles.
