I see exactly the same error in another GTK2 application, fotox.  
I doubt there is any relevance to Me TV.

The error occurs when the GTK file open dialog is called for the first
time after starting the application. The file open does work normally
and I see no further problems. The error occurs about 10-20% of the
time. Usually there is no error.

stderr output:

(fotox:6149): GLib-GObject-WARNING **: IA__g_object_new_valist: object
class `GThemedIcon' has no property named `names'

(fotox:6149): GLib-GIO-CRITICAL **: g_themed_icon_constructed: assertion
`themed->names != NULL && themed->names[0] != NULL' failed
