OK, since the problem will not occur in future versions and the persons
that have the know how to use me-tv with dvb-s should also be able to
remove the " manually from the channels.conf.

Bug description:
After a dvb-s scan done with the scan util in dvb-apps, I had the following line in the channels.conf: 
ARD "Das Erste":11604:h:0:27500:172:173:606

For Me-TV to accept the channels.conf, I had to change that line to: 
ARD Das Erste:11604:h:0:27500:172:173:606

Ubuntu 8.10 development version 
Me-TV: 0.5.33
