[Question #60873]: Optional streching of me-tv output to best fit resolution ignoring aspect-ratio?
New question #60873 on Me TV:
https://answers.launchpad.net/me-tv/+question/60873
I compiled me-tv 0.7.14 for Jaunty alpha4 myself, btw. i got no output when ./configure'd without xine enabled, but that was not a problem. I have a general question about adding a new feature to me-tv.
My issue is that some televisions are shown at 5:4 and because of that I use a 16:10 monitor with native resolution of 1680x1050 the television output only fits 12,5:10 so i waste 400px or 13cm of available 52cm screen-width.
I'm not a fan of heavily stretching my screen output, but a feature that supports full and half stretching would make it a lot more comfortable.
Choosing a forced aspect ratio for 16:10/16:9/5:4/4:3 like in vlc would be really nice?
My question: Does a plan exist to add this kind of feature or does it have a chance to become a future feature?
Thanks
