d4nnyt is still having a problem:
The .me-tv folder doesn't contain an xine.config. If I make one from a
copy of the one in .xine with the changes mentioned it still doesn't fix
it.

Changing the xine audio driver in me-tv preferences from alsa to
something different solves the muting problem but then the sound doesn't
work in me-tv.
