New question #107827 on Medibuntu:

First of all , I appreciate the ffmpeg you have compiled with options for all file type conversions.
I am using ubuntu 8.04.
I have noticed that x11grab option is not available yet.
A little explanation
I ran
$ffmpeg -f x11grab -s 800x600 -r 30 -i :0.0 /tmp/out.mpg

It would be great if you include it.
