- Using mirrors won't help anything, as the main server is down, so
there are no packages updates at all anyway. So there is no point in
using a mirror at all.

I'm subscribed to this bug, and it is fairly annoying to get disturbed by an email all 10 minutes just to see someone else has posted a comment to this bug, which doesn't really belong to this bug anyway.
