[Question #124410]: checksums misssing, can't authenticate karmic & medibuntu

I added three repositories, (two here at launchpad & the medibuntu), and got two "missing checksums" messages. then first package I tried to install I got the message "cannot verify"

since this is a security problem, not being able to verify the authenticity of a download, i didn't install but sorted on the install checkbox and find that there are 21 such "unverifiable" packages

apport-hooks-medibuntu is installed but since no program is running it will not be able to report the problem

Can the checksum(s) be inserted into the synaptic package manager?
if so,  what are they?
if not, then can you insert the checksums where Synaptic Package Manager can find them?
