[Bug 572562] Re: googleearth 5 does not display pictures images in ubuntu 10.04
I think that the issue is something regard permissions; using from
terminal:
sudo googleearth
I'm able to display images without issues, even if on terminal I get
this:
Error: "/var/tmp/kdecache-sava" is owned by uid 1000 instead of uid 0.
undefined:4: ReferenceError: Can't find variable: ge_bridge
undefined:4: ReferenceError: Can't find variable: ge_bridge
undefined:4: ReferenceError: Can't find variable: ge_bridge

Seems that Google earth store stuff in /var/tmp/kdecache-sava that is
/var/tmp/kdecache-$user of my user
