[Bug 920527] Re: recent libdvdcss2 update broke DVD-Support
I'm affected by this as well with the 1.2.11 version. Reverting to
1.2.10 works. Web searches are not revealing much on this issue, maybe
it's a hardware specific problem? With 1.2.11 and a commercial DVD in
the drive I would get output like this:
$ lsdvd /dev/dvd5
libdvdread: Using libdvdcss version 1.2.11 for DVD access
libdvdread: Can't seek to block 2655603
libdvdread: Can't seek to block 2655603
libdvdread: Invalid IFO for title 2 (VTS_02_0.IFO).
Can't open ifo 2!
It seems the block that it always stops at is the layer break because I
could playback the DVD using mplayer or VLC but only up to the layer
break. Using VLC I would get output like this for most of the vobs:
libdvdread: Error cracking CSS key for /VIDEO_TS/VTS_10_1.VOB
(0x002caaf9)!!
