ITA and iRQLinux Status as of 17-June-2014

Dear everyone,

While I know our country and our people in Iraq are living a very very very
bad moments, IMHO (In My Humble Opinion), we should NEVER give up nor
surrender. That said, I'd like (as a founder of ITA and iRQLinux) to carry
on and never stop. I mean, this project will remain alive.

Okay, someone will say "well, that's good and nice of you." but let's face
it ... we have these challenges:

   1. The whole internet might be cut-off in Iraq and that means we will
not be able to communicate. Only those of us outside Iraq can communicate
   between each other.
   2. Sorry to say this guys but there are ghost members within our
community and I'm NOT happy with that and I don't think we really need
them. Sorry but this is undeniable reality and fact and I MUST step in to
fix it. I know the current situation is BAD but as said above, I don't want
to put this project on HOLD.
   3. The work on iRQLinux Project has officially started in 1st of June,
2014 and to be very honest here, I'm the only one so far working on
   iRQLinux.
   4. ITA Sub-Teams Phase 1 (
   https://blueprints.launchpad.net/ita/+spec/phase1-roadmap-sub-teams) are
NOT yet fully functional. Sad but true, only 4 Sub-Teams out of 9 Sub-Teams
have started some activities and NONE of these 4 Sub-Teams are yet 25%
   functional as of today.

That said, I think it is time for a rescue plan that I shall work on it.

Some of the points that we need to take into consideration on this rescue
plan are:

   1. We need to focus on one Sub-Team out of 9 Sub-Teams, that is HR
   Sub-Team.
   2. We need to assign heavy tasks to HR Sub-Team by asking them to
   recruit Iraqis OUTSIDE Iraq.
   3. In case of the internet in Iraq will be cut-off, we will lose each
and every communications with the members of our team and only those
   outside Iraq can communicate together.
   4. Those who are part of iRQLinux Project are required to start at least
slowly to work on the project.
   5. Those who are NOT part of iRQLinux need to figure out what kind of
part they shall play. They can still support iRQLinux in a way but if
they're not really interested, they should NOT remain idle and watching,
   they should do something.
   6. *ITA Team Leaders should state their current situation whether they
can be active or not. Please let me know and keep me updated about your
current status and this goes to ALL the TLs of ITA.*
   7. *We need to find a way to make sure those of us in Iraq are okay so
it seems the only way we exchange phone numbers. But of course, that could
only happen if you wish to do that. We can't force anyone but we're one
family and we are humans and we must make sure all of us are okay in case
   of emergencies.*

That is all what I have in mind right now.

I'm very sorry, this might be the very bad time to send this. However, I
guess it should be clear as it is kind of report of everything as of today.
The project is not doing well to be very honest. In the same time, I will
NEVER GIVE UP and will never stop nor cancel it :)

Thanks for reading!

Ali
