did you try the internal network ? 
i mean like uploading , downloading or moving any packets with a decent size in the internal network

and btw am curious is this a virtual network or is it the same network you use for you virtual-machine's host

i just built a cleaner alpha ... it looks little better but there is 2 issues 
1) No internet connection no idea why .. config seems fine IP/Gateway/DNS seems fine.
2) LiveCD only... installation crashes on apt from cdrom error.
