Hi Erik,
Welcome to MLHIM!
I haven't really written a tour guide; but certainly should for new
people.
So, you're my guinea pig. :-)
First of all I have added you to the MLHIM Owners list as well. There
reason is because that we believe that all persons desire to investigate
or participate should be allowed to do so in an open mailing list. This
one is it.
The specifications developers team does have a mailing list but that
should only be used for some (as yet unforeseen) emergency
communications. The only reason for a separate group is to guard the
integrity of the specifications themselves. Though virtually anyone
wanting commit access may ask; but if they prove to be malicious they
will be removed.
The downstream developers are all also receiving these emails because
all development lists are members of this one.
So, MLHIM Owners are all of you out there.
The specifications source files are written using LyX. It is a cross
platform open source editor http://www.lyx.org The constraints it
places on documents means that it is easier to work as a group and not
be concerned with formatting.
We originally started creating the MLHIM 1.x series. But the fact is
that it was going to be openEHR 1.0.2 compliant anyway. So, that was
kind of pointless. i have started on MLHIM 2.x and the current
openEHR-technical list issue around datatypes has been informative.
Everything is open to discussion. So please let us know how we can meet
your needs and how you can help MLHIM.
More details later.
Cheers,
Tim
