Are there any EMF experts / Java developers willing to commit to the issue
of extracting Ecore.xsd so that the MLHIM schemas can be used outside of
EMF?

The current situation is that there is no way from inside the modelling tool
to export the foundational XSD.
Going back for the past few years this has been an issue in EMF and the only
solutions provided on the Internet is to study how it works in the
appropriate source modules.  The EMF team doesn't seem interested in using
the generated schemas outside of Eclipse.

The effect this has on MLHIM is that unless someone steps up and adds this
export functionality.  There can be no MLHIM implementations outside of
Eclipse or at least outside the Java language.  This also implies that
someone will need to implement HKCR in Eclipse.

If no one commits to active development within the next few days then I will
drop EMF as a modelling solution.
