  Specs. Tree is too cluttered

Status in MLHIM Specifications:
  In Progress

Bug description:
  The directory tree is unnecessarily cluttered.  There is no longer a
  reason to have the 1.0.x branch and some of the other items.  Move the
  current tree to an archive and rebuild the trunk.
