Someone else has had a similar problem on Linux. It was completely
reproducible for them so we managed to figure out a fix. I've got
another fix that makes it worthwhile to do a bugfix release so I'll be
putting 1.0.2 out over the weekend. Unfortunately the problem doesn't
manifest itself on any of my test machines.
