Hi Wayne,

I've left a comment on the phpMQTT issue. I think this is something
that can/should be fixed in mosquitto rather than phpMQTT. I've
committed a change that does so at
https://bitbucket.org/oojah/mosquitto/changeset/8ca9c433157926bb1494a300ff144c4c82d7c482
