Good idea. Actually I'm noticing now that there's a fourth axis for
information in the cloud: Published vs Private. What I called Shared
in my previous post was "shared between devices", not "shared between
people". So my four dimensions for cloud storage are these:

- Location: Connected vs Disconnected.
- Speed: Fast vs Slow medium.
- Persistence: Saved vs Unsaved.
- Sharing: Published vs Private.

These could be conveyed through two windicators:

- Connected, disconnected. This must be shown for each individual
file, since local files don't rely on a network connection but there
can be other ways in which the file could not be saved (unplugged
USBs, files shared through Bluetooth, etc).

- Availability, with four possible states:
    * Temporary (unsaved information)
    * Saved, local
    * Saved, in the cloud, private
    * Saved, in the cloud, shared with the public

These states can be handled with different icons for a single
indicator, since they form a continuous progression.
