Yes, the behavior of the system-default mail client should be consistent
with the system-default chat and twitter apps (they should all be able
to run as services, displaying solely in the MM). And T-bird support
would be fantastic, too.
Anybody want to try and organise a developer project around both of
those? Get out there and champion the idea, see if developers are
willing to take it on?

How would one go about doing this? The evolution launchpad is downloads only, not bugs or blueprints.
