"With a persistent indicator for activity or progress, we can also see, when the computer is idle: very important state to be aware of!"
So if i'm downloading something in firebox that computer is still idle because it's not in the indicator menu? What about 3rd party applications?
"transmission indicator, brasero indicator, file operations indicator from nautilus etc.." in one menu.... Rather then just having them in the application bar? both locations? why not just have the task bar able to show progress. Then each developer can add in the progress indicator to his own application, that way all applications have the same potential rather then only selecting few.
