Hi all,
I was thinking about this for some while: currently, every application
has its own way to report progress of a long operation: Firefox in a
window, Chrome in a download bar, Nautilus and Brasero that can be
brought up via (almost) useless indicators.... So why don't we unify
this process?
I can imagine something similar to the messaging menu: each
application that has an operation running has its "entry", with
"sub-entries" being the operations. Here, 'operation' means downloads,
long file copying, burning disks....
So what's your opinion?
Thank you,
Mohamed Amine IL Idrissi
