With the understanding that Ubuntu always strives to make things as easy as possible for new users , there are many who have been loayal Ubuntu users for a long time that would like more control over the installation process . Can Ubiquity/Casper provide an " advanced " mode that would provide for that either as an option on the live-cd boot menu or from the live-cd desktop ? The ability to add and subtract specific software , for example + gimp , chromium and synaptics - Fspot ,USC and Firefox . And more control over the installation of grub are examples of what I am suggesting for advanced users to have the option to do .
