You should probably file a bug on launchpad. 

I can't seem to replicate it, but you should have a look at doing that anyway. They'll be able to tell you what is causing the problem, and either get it fixed (if it's a bug) or tell you how to fix it (if it's specific to your machine).

Run this command:

ubuntu-bug gnome-screenshot
