I dont like to get into arguments and i think mm does help with the clutter, but you frequently like to counter-argument everything saying things are Fine how they are and new users are the ones that are wrong because they havent rtfm yet, but what are you doing to actually help these people ?

First, you claim that I am a geek and therefore cannot understand the people around me. What do you base that claim on? Have you investigated my past? Do you know me in person? Now you're claiming that I tell people to "RTFM". Prove it. Show me the link. Document your claims. Because I cannot trust people who are willing to tell lies to win an argument, and it is seriously difficult to take those people seriously.

And I seriously dislike it when people put words into my mouth, and tell lies about me in order to present themselves as winners of the argument. Try to find _any_ reference to _any_ instance when I've told anyone to "rtfm". You are making claims and accusations, and you do not provide _any_ evidence to support them. You are also way off topic, since this thread isn't even about indicators, but about clickable notifications, which is a radically different thing.

This is my last reply in this case. But Ok. Let me ask you a few final questions -- they are rhetorical, so you don't have to answer them:

1) What is the symbol that has been used for SMS in all mobile phones for more than 15 years?
2) What symbol do they use for MMS?
3) Are people capable of using SMS and MMS?
4) What is the difference between SMS/MMS and an IM in turns of symbols?
5) Is the messaging app on phones always visible, or is it hidden when not in use?
6) Why are people incapable of understanding the exact same thing in Ubuntu, which is your claim?
7) Is it possible that your own assumptions are misleading you?
