approx beta 14 (git pull), debian5, kde3:
I can reproduce a garbled output which will segfault after misc additional lines by sending mudlet:
ESC[38;5;199m
which should switch to an xterm-256 colour (foreground).
you can reproduce this by logging into avalon.mud.de:
1.) change your command seperator to something other than ;
2.) in avalon, after having logged in, type:
term seq \e[38;5;199m
