Samething is happening for me in 64 bit. Both via terminal, as above,
and via Ubuntu Software Center.

Currently, Software Center looks like this:

Bug description:
  The Mudlet 2.0 .deb's in the PPA are incomplete; they are all only
  13.5 KiB as opposed to 6 MB. This upgrade effectively removes Mudlet.
