[Bug 990231] Re: Ubuntu 12 with Qt 4.8: certain fonts overlap at smaller sizes

 

Please use the OSX font fix for Ubuntu and try if this solves the
problem. This is done via preprocessor instruction to only compile on
OSX.

If this hack solves the issue on new linux boxes we can use it on all
Linux/OSX machines until Qt has fixed the problem. older Linux boxes
with Qt version < 4.8 are not affected, OSX is already affected on much
earlier versions of Qt

  New

Bug description:
  Regression from 4.7 - using 4.8.1, certain fonts are overlapping.

  Deja Vu Sans Mono on font size 11 is OK, but on font size 10 and
  below, there are some overlapping issues.

  Ubuntu Mono renders OK with font size 10 and 11.
