How did you centerview() on a room that is "not valid"?  Do you mean
that it was created with addRoom() but not assigned to an area with
setRoomArea(roomID, area_to_assign_room_to_ID)?

Bug description:
  Attached is a screenshot of the map with centerview() on a valid room,
  and the next view of when centerview() is not on a valid room - some
  rooms and exits get "selected".
