as this (full UTF-8 support) is something we aim to target for Mudlet
4.0 and thus will be on our roadmap once we have put up that "Milestone"
on our "Roadmap"...

  scandinavian letters and some special characters are not supported

Bug description:
  There seems to be some issues in character encoding for mudlet. Using
  aliases to reply to tells with scandinavian letters results in and
  unsupported character error. Below is the example:

  The original message was: "tell Ilmari smöö"

  Mudlet output:
  tell Ilmari sm��
  Unsupported character following "...ri sm".

  The alias in mudlet is pretty simple:

  Pattern: ^lt (.*)$

  Code:
  reply_msg = matches[2]
  send("tell " .. reply_to .. " " .. reply_msg)

  mudlet version: 3.0.0-iota
  os: windows 10 (10.0.14393 Build 14393)
