First off thank you for your response.  There's really no need to apologize for
indulging, I meant it when I asked for your opinions and perspective.  I know I
personally value your perspective and appreciate the work you've done.  After
all sometimes knowing how we got here makes it easier to understand where here
is.  :)


My story isn't all that different, a labmate had an older gateway tablet, it was
time for me to replace my old laptop, and dell was just about to release the
latitude XT.  I figured it might be fun to play with, and starting thinking
about fun things to do with multi touch (hm, almost time to get started on
them).  I admit that first kernel patch (20 or so characters) was exciting and I
just kept wanting to make it work better.  I was actually a little surprised
when people started to notice and sent me questions.
