Message #00106
Repository for Lua scripts - looking for ideas
Hello there,
Doing QA on the Proxy and the Enterprise Monitor Agent I started
working on a way to simulate a busy mysql server. And I ended up
writing a Lua script that intercepts some queries like SHOW GLOBAL
VARIABLES and other, does some magic and then returns custom values
back to the monitor agent (or to any mysql client that sends those
queries).
I'll be talking more about it here
http://www.mysql.com/news-and-events/web-seminars/display-306.html
and here is the question I have:
I am going to make this script GPL and I'm looking for feedback as to
"where" to host it.
Kay thought that we could have a community-own launchpad repository
for Lua scripts, and have this script and others like the
rw-splitting.lua in there.
So, what do you think?
Thanks
Diego
