[Bug 469377] Re: "High quality" profile produces video tearing on GeForce 8300

So this is something that's unfortunately highly dependent upon the
video driver. If it broke between upgrades, that's due to the video
driver rather than myth, and there's not much we can do about it.

I'd recommend turning off the opengl-vsync option and using a more
reliable timing method.

Status in “mythtv” package in Ubuntu: Invalid

Bug description:
Binary package hint: mythtv

Karmic Koala, mythtv 0.22.0+fixes22594-0ubuntu1

Expect: when turning "Sync to OpenGl" on in the Output settings menu, output is as good as in jaunty i.e. no video tearing whatsoever with this onboard GeForce 8300...

Result: with open-gl-sync:
2009-11-01 20:32:49.284 Frame Number Query reported error: Bad Context
Video is not playing smooth, problable 80% frames are dropped

Without open-gl-sync:
Video tears badly when cam is moved etc.

Settings in Nvidia-Tool "Sync to Vblank .." -> on for xv and opengl.

Big regression from jaunty.
