Ok, I rotated the log just before rebooting. So the mythtv backend log
contains one start using 'restart mythtv-backend' and one bootup. Mythtv
frontend's log now only contains the bootup.

Apart from that, I'm more convinced its the backend that's supposedly
"crashed". About the backend-log, I don't have a caption card, nor any
other special input device. Mythtv on that box is only used to have a
fancy, tv-screen readable, interface for playing video files and dvd's.
But this time the message also appeared (after a while) with myth
frontend still running.

The mythplugins-package was not installed, as I've upgrading this box
from somewhere around the 8.04-age (including most of the pre-release
beta's and some of the alpha's of the new mythbuntu/ubuntu's) it may
very well be some messed up installation.

I've attached the fresh mythtv backend and frontend logs.

Status in “mythtv” package in Ubuntu: Incomplete

Bug description:
Binary package hint: mythtv

Every time I exit MythTV's frontend (using ESC and than hitting 'yes' at the prompt) I see a 'crash detected' pop up, so something is not cleanly closed or communicated. This happens since I've upgraded to ubuntu 10.04 alpha somewhere a while back.
